Greetings all!
We’ve had a bit of a wild week here, with a major atmospheric river rain storm creating all kinds of flood drama. So far my home is safe, however I sadly can’t say the same for many others that just went through the same thing from the same problematic river 4 years ago. The flooding river is in the USA so we don’t even have the ability to get it fixed to our satisfaction. I just hope this last flood event rattles some cages to fix what’s broken.
Aside from all that stress, I did manage to get a rather cute project up I’m happy with!
DIY antique brass bells painting technique
Painting DIY antique brass bells for Christmas decor
I LOVE the brass bell look but didn’t want to pay retail. So I started collecting cheap bells from the local thrift store and ended up with an entire collection of DIY painted brass bells, ornaments AND jingle bells that all look like the real deal! This is an easy paint treatment that can actually work on anything! So, if you want to save your dollars, this is one good way!

Thank you so much for featuring my glass Christmas tree, Donna. I can’t wait to see the one you make!
Hi Funky Junk,
Love what you are doing. I have spent the last 8 months collecting baby formula tins. My idea was to lay them side by side, gluing them together as they are laying down to create a Christmas Tree similar to a pyramid.I was then going to spray paint the assembled tins on the outside only. My idea was to then drill multiple holes in the base of each tin and insert a solar powered light bulb. The Centre bottom tin I had planned to cut a hole in so it could stand in the yard or in a container. Unfortunately this didn’t work. Each tin has a little lip on both the top and bottom which meant there is too little contact area. Do you have any funky ideas on how I can recycle these to make Christmas decorations. Deidre
I’m sorry to hear about the storm. So glad your home is ok.
Thank you for hosting.
