PJ 331 – DIY salvaged junk projects

Every Friday, 7 PM through Sunday 11 PM Pacific

Happy weekend, friends! It’s good to be back!

This week’s junk party has me a tad excited… since we didn’t have a link up last weekend, I hope you bring two week’s worth to the party this round! Can you spell KABOOM?

I know some of you enjoy highlights, so here’s a few from the past two weeks on Funky Junk…

Abandoned house burgundy left the building and became blue…

Did you see the armoire made from CRATES?!

This little bout of sign mass production was a blast!

NYC Journal 1 is live! Drama included.

I was inspired to get inspirational… this one’s about choices.

A little antique wagon gets all dressed up for summer…

So here’s a few amazing highlights from the last party we had…

If you want art and productivity all in one, these fish house numbers are to DIE for! Doesn’t the distressing look authentically vintage? Swooning!

She had me at crates.

But I love how Betsy breaks the rules. She chopped down a premade stencil, added her own letter, and added a special effect if you look closely. Sometimes short and sweet says it all!

But those wooden bowls… seriously… ohmygoodness… when is my next thrift store day again?!

I think it’s time to learn how to cut mason jars. Because I have an old pulley begging for this treatment! Isn’t this gorgeous? Why haven’t the manufacturers caught on to this authentic goodness yet? I’d buy this retail in a heartbeat!

Just when you are thinking you don’t have the perfect chunk of wood in order to make your own sign, Carole will prove you dead wrong. This sign is a MUST see… it’s a junker’s DREAM!

Any guesses what’s hiding behind those luscious wood slats? You won’t believe your eyes…

Most know I’m a true blue signaholic, but there are those times when more vibrancy can really up the sign game. And because this gorgeous summer rendition by David is actually easy to produce, well… you need to check this method out!

Aren’t the different coloured slats the BEST idea ever? Sooooo beachy!

Hehhhp! I need.. somebody…

Admit it… do you hear the Beatles? (or insert your own music weapon of choice) I’m vintage inspired with this idea for old LPs!

Annnd…. a special mention this weekend. Not everyone loves junky junk. So here’s a PERFECT example of getting the reclaimed look with something brand new using a cool stencil… without the dirt! 🙂

But those cat mugs… I’ll be right over, Michael! (he puts cream in his coffee too…)

  1. What a great way to start a Saturday you’ve provided (I didn’t see it last yesterday- don’t believe anyone who tells you I fell asleep at 8:30 on a Friday night….). Thanks so much! And now off to follow links to all the inspiration for this week.
