Yesterday I head into town to drop off some paperwork at my accountant’s. I then also moseyed on around town taking a small detour.
I had full intentions to visit a local greenhouse, but right there in the same parking lot, this big, beautiful sign reeled me in!
Oh my goodness.
Where have you been all my junk’in life?
This store location has been a few different entities over the years, however I had no idea that switzer’s existed. It’s a store filled to the brim with antiques and vintage-inspired replications. Gorgeous, gorgeous stuff!
Switzer’s Vintage Decor is located in Chilliwack, British Columbia Canada, right next to Minter Country Gardens.
I get asked where I love to shop in my area all the time. So for the travellers out there, here’s a new one I’m adding to my own arsenal!
Antique shopping in Canada is there, however not in abundance by any means. I still dream of heading down south to the World’s Longest Yard Sale (read my stories HERE) one day again.
Until then, this was a very unexpected and happy surprise.
Care for a little tour?
(need I even ask?)
There was loads of antique shopping outdoors and in. This collection of wire baskets was a great way to start things off.
I have a small collection of antique mason jars already, however I always love looking to see the types I don’t have.
Aren’t these beautiful? I’ll take them all please.
This fun ottoman completely threw me.
From a short distance I thought it was metal, but it ended up being upholstered. Great reproduction piece with all the antique bin feels!
Stacked luggage for the win! Those round ones on the bottom sure are unique!
And if you’re looking for a scrabble tile fix, they have those too. In abundance.
But I continue to be secretly drawn to any kind of crate-ish piece. I loved this round barrel style with some marketing label still attached.
And this chunk of toilet tank crate made me smile… don’t see that every day!
Now THIS piece I could find a home for right this second! All those decadent rustic drawers would be perfect for sewing room storage…
Gasp… have you ever seen a one-foot toboggan before? Well now you can say you have!
I adore any authentic metal antique signage and this beauty Frys Pure Cocoa sign wore this perfect pop of blue.
And I’d gladly take this cupboard. I’ve always dreamed of a free-standing styled kitchen with a mixture of different pieces side-by-side (one day!) and this place would indeed fit part of that bill.
So if you’re ever in the area, I recommend adding this stop to your visits!
While I didn’t pick anything up this round, I know where to go now when the desire hits!
Now that was one worthwhile accountant trip….
