Oh how I LOVE my beat up antiques! Give me rustic, wood, and metal, and I’m one happy junker.
So this little Super Market soil sifter message board is right up my old sign, junk lovin’ alley!
I don’t remember where I landed this antique soil sifter. I don’t even ever remember using it for a project!
And THIS is why I never get rid of stuff I love the look of. Eventually it gets a home.
This is where the fun begins… what serviceable thing could it actually become?
The message of Super Market hinted towards shopping lists… a grocery magnetic board would be cool…
I always jot down groceries as we run out. This will be handy to grab and run with!
I’m even visioning somehow attaching it to my black fridge… hmmm…
What you’ll need: (Amazon affiliate links)

1. Move kitty out of soil sifter.

Wood, black, and metal. MY FAV! What a neat look!
At this point, my mind went a little wild with so many options.
But I decided to follow through with my first vision.
Tip: The cheap craft magnets didn’t hold the strongest power… just be on the lookout for something with a little more magnetic strength.
It’s perfect! I can even see hooks with keys hanging from the sign side.
Now… if it would only go shopping FOR me… 🙂
The Super Market stencil is part of Market Extensions and Farmers’ Market.

I found two of these, with a much finer screen and turned one of them into an earring holder. When you love junk and have an imagination, everything has potential…which is why my house looks like an episode of Hoarders.
The other unit just needs a place to live, since I adore earrings and have quite an extensive collection.
Always enjoy seeing what you are up to.
An earring holder is an awesome idea!
This just made me want to go collect more new stuff now… yikes. 🙂
I love this! As I do all your projects. Thanks for sharing. I need to learn to do these projects myself instead of picking them up on my hubby. So your step-by-step instructions are awesome
Oh Moriah, your world will CHANGE once you know how to use those tools. Get your husband to show you that part so you can go full tilt on your own! Then, watch out world…
Thank you, Donna. I will ask him to teach me and then, yes, watch out world! LOL. Happy Easter
Love it! Love the look & functionality! My kind of project!
(Side note!) I laughed at how you don’t throw some things away! I have 3 grown kids who are always giving me grief about getting rid of “old stuff”! Like my wooden crates! Or old ladders! (I only have 2 for Pete’s Sake!), oh! And my old windows! Whiskey barrels! Even some nice old bricks, ? that’s right, I love the look of them and I’m SURE I can do something cool with them! So what if I don’t know EXACTLY when that’ll be!
Who’s kids are you anyway?!!?❤️
As always,
Thank you for your inspiration!
Debbie
Hey, Donna, I have a soil sifter and didn’t even know what it was. I have had it for ages and always wondered what it was. I also like that rack with the little buckets I am sure you made. Enjoying your posts, Peggy
Love all the beautiful things you create and I love your site.
Magnets are a problem, where do you purchase them?
Happy crafting
Hi LuAnne! I found mine at a major craft store I believe, but they aren’t very good ones. Perhaps an online search may be the answer!
Really a cute idea of course out of all my treasures i don’t have anything even close but i will think about it. So glad you can jump start me, sometimes i need it and your ideas are great!!
That’s a super idea, Donna! I sure wish I had more wall space for all your unique and very creative ideas!
Me too, Elaine! hahaha
Super cute…you are so clever!
Cool looking sign.
I agree Donna. Wood, black and metal! A definite favorite. And if you come up with a way to use it on your refrigerator I’d love to see it. Thanks for sharing.
hahahahah I always tell my husband, ‘just wait I’ll find something to do with it’ It all finds itself to a project eventually!!!
Now that’s a sweet repurpose! I would have never thought, upon looking at that soil sifter, to turn it into a magnetic board. But then that’s why you are the Queen of Repurposing Junk☺
Pinned, I love it.
This is super cute Donna!
