Greetings all!
And a very Happy 4th of July and a belated Happy Canada Day to you! Canadians celebrated Canada Day July 1st, so the day before, my son planned a full day together of eating out, a bike ride, sitting at the river, picking up treats for s’mores, movies and more. It was SO nice to kick back and just enjoy the moments.
So I didn’t manage to finish up a post on how I made some DIY stepping stones you can peek at in my vegetable garden post HERE, however I will for next week! All I know is, I could feel the lazy days of summer slip in for a couple days there, and I was dangerously close to pulling away for some needed vacation time… yet here I am. LOL
This past week, I spent some more time gathering more plants for the new bench garden transpiring, and drove a hurt bird into a nearby wildlife center. If you’d like to keep up with whatever is going on, please follow me on Instagram through stories HERE where I share lots of current moments.
So as always, thanks for bringing your projects over, and checking them all out! Here’s some fabulous upcycled projects from last week’s party, then onto the new linkups at the bottom of the post!

Scrap fabric flags that are no-sew
No-sew scrap fabric flags by Lora Bloomquist
If you are a scrap fabric collector, you’ll want to pull out your red, white and blue fabric remnants to make these incredible fabric flags that don’t even require sewing! And while patriotic, they aren’t blatantly so, thanks to their quaint mixture of patterns and designs offering up a true-blue homespun vibe!
Upcycled cabinet door serving tray
Cabinet door serving tray by Creative Moments
If you too love a pretty serving tray, no need to spend big bucks or build from scratch, when you can upcycle an old cabinet door! This lovely painted and decoupaged tray also can be used as a riser since it has added feet, making a very pretty centerpiece!
Grass skirt lampshade cover by Homeward Found Decor
With the current upswing of baskets, or grassy materials and such seen on lampshades, Deb decided to bypass the big cost and make her own version! But it’s even easier than you may think. Check out this fabulous grass skirt lampshade that doesn’t require you to DIY from scratch at all! Oh I’d bet this would have a fabulous look illuminated in the evenings!
