Nothing like running two series at the same time. Do I continue my Toronto story, or the dream workshop series?
Well, since these photos were edited first, I hope you Toronto fans will forgive me. Because I have been workin’ this workshop thing and it’s looking mighty spiffy!
Recap from last post / the curbside tables were ready for work, but the walls weren’t. So the (bad) junk was hauled away to make room for a pretty white wall.
A moment of silence please?
Don’t you love how the slight movement of your finger on that mouse made this all look so easy? I wish…
I put everything worth anything at the end of my driveway, including that shelving unit, with brackets still attached. And EVERY last little bit walked off. THRILLED!
My condolences to wife F of the R guy that picked up every last drop. I’ll have to ask for your permission to post names next round. Because you know there will be one, yes? Such a bittersweet moment…
It was so hard to wait. I wanted to try out those tables right away so soooooo bad. And now it is time! Please oh pleeeeeaaaaase fit….
Boy did it! It was perfection. Just enough room for the garbage can. What. A. Table.
You’re either thinking 1 of 2 things… Paint that thing before you get sick or don’t touch it because it’s perfect.
I honestly had hoped to leave it, but it was just too far gone. Even for me… Bear in mind, I want it to look nice for photo shoots. I doubt I could find loose screws on that table this way. Plus it kinda feels like a big balloon filled birthday party going on and a big sing song about to erupt.
Call me Picaso, but funny how we all see something different, isn’t it? 🙂
And then I painted the table in the dark = no pics. That’s ok. Envision the edges still chipped up but the table white.
There it is! I’ll admit the table is a little plain, so I may do something more to it at some point.
BUT!! No time for that. Before the table paint was even dry, I was already hanging stuff on the walls. With no plan of course.
Remember that luscious wood from the curb the other day?
I did a little trial with a brainstorm. Hmm… maybe…
And then I brought these guys out to play.
Now take a look at that table. You have to admit, stuff photographs pretty nicely on that thing! So while it’s plain, it sure is crisp!
And then I brought out all kinds of riff raff to hold screws, and drills and things that could hang other things.
And then I really got to work because those screws and drills were just too tempting.
White, bright and a little bit reclaimed wood crazy… I think that pretty well sums things up! Nearly there! Maybe tomorrow?
At least I have a Toronto series on hold. You know… just in case. 🙂
Donna, so excited for you!! Getting it the way you want it! Mine has been done for almost a week now and I am still feeling like all is right in my world. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!!!
Oh I KNOW!! It’s like my own little playhouse inviting me to come play all the time! 🙂
It’s looking really good, can’t wait to see it finished and that table looks as though it was made for that space.
I can’t wait to get mine done, it is going to be a combination work shop/potting shed, there will be a wall separating the two spaces, I can’t wait for it to be done.
your Rock!
the table looks great!
the whole space is perfect.
ps i wasn’t sure if you were apologizing to the wife because the husband was bringing all that ‘stuff’ home, or to the husband because the wife made him bring all the stuff home, but either way if they have been married for any period of time, they must already be used to it. (my husband will often just shake his head at me when he sees what i’ve dragged home) . . lol
Haha… well, I think the wife groans when I put stuff on the curb because she knows it’ll land in her own yard… I’m sure I’m to blame here… 😀
I’m so jealous! Looks great!
donna i knew it would fit you have a good eye…. upon reading the toronto series there was a post my story… omg my dear you have been through hell and back…. and i am so glad you came back… you make the best stuff out of junk xx
All for a reason I say! Yes, it’s quite a story, one filled to the brim with miracles. But more importantly, to offer hope. That’s something we all have avail to us!
Thanks for the kudos!
awesome find those tables.. I have to agree you painting the table was a smart idea – wink! can’t wait to see it all finished…
